· Tim writes, tweets and shoots his own images for hiredbelly.com, as well as for various news outlets, including Vitis BC magazine, BC Liquor Stores Taste magazine, Quench Magazine and Montecristo.
· He also judges for the Vancouver Magazine Restaurant Awards. He wrote extensively for the Vancouver Courier over 25 years, as well as for WHERE Vancouver and the North Shore News. Tim is also happy to consult on restaurant wine list preparation and content.
· A frequent wine judge Tim was a founding judge of The BC Lieutenant Governor’s Awards for Excellence in Wine. He regularly judges at the BC Wine Awards (now BCLG Wine Awards), All Canadian Wine Championships and others.
· Tim has travelled to explore wine and dining in most of the world’s leading wine regions. Most recently, pre-COVID, he visited Languedoc, Lisboa and Valpolicella, as well as regions in France, Spain, Argentina and Chile.
· In 2020 Tim was honoured with the Wine Growers British Columbia Industry Recognition Award. In 2012, Tim was honoured to be inducted as a “Friend of the Industry” into the BC Restaurant & Food Services Association Hall of Fame.
· He is also a founding member and a former director of the British Columbia Hospitality Industry Foundation. The foundation offers financial assistance, “hope, inspiration and opportunity” to those who depend on BC’s hospitality industry.
